A confusing wait at the port turned into one of the best days of the trip once the bus arrived. The guide, Darren, was funny and full of detail, and clearly wanted everyone to have a good day.

The day went quickly but never felt rushed, and the stops were well timed. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the countryside scenery was postcard-perfect the whole way.

A smaller group of under twenty made a real difference, and the guide knew the geology and history inside out. The Secret Lagoon was far more peaceful than the Blue Lagoon.

Our guide worked Icelandic music into the drive and tied each song to a fact about the country. Small group, good pace, and plenty of time at each stop.

Only had a 24-hour layover and the evening timing fit perfectly. The driver added a couple of quick side stops, and the sites were beautiful and almost empty.

The family-run horse farm was the highlight — friendly staff and a lovely ride. The Golden Circle half afterwards was more drop-and-explore than guided, which not everyone will want, but the sights themselves were superb.

The whole family had a great time. Our guide, Monica, was informative and funny, kept us on schedule, and the lagoon wasn't crowded when we arrived.

The driver was excellent and the guide was patient and informative. The timing worked well for each stop, and they even dropped us at a spot we asked for on the way back.

Our ship cleared immigration late, and the operator was completely unfazed — they waited for our group of four. Comfortable bus, an extra stop to meet Icelandic horses, and the Blue Lagoon to finish.

One of the best excursions we've taken, mostly down to the guide, Thorey — knowledgeable, funny and happy to answer every question. Worth asking for her by name.
